Privacy Policy — workplace safety monitoring

Version v3 — 5 July 2026 · Bluework Employee Management System
The short version: workplace-safety audio monitoring operates under the Workplace Monitoring & Systems Use Agreement you accept before using this system, and is activated and deactivated by your employer's administrators. Statutory notice periods (for example NSW's) are always honoured before capture begins. Stored data is held in Australia and kept only for a defined period, every hazard decision and export is recorded on a tamper-evident record, and you can raise an objection or complaint at any time.

1. What we collect and why

Where monitoring is active for your account, audio near your device is recorded in the background during your work session. The sole purpose is to help meet work health and safety duties by detecting psychosocial hazards such as bullying, harassment, aggression, and work overload, consistent with the Commonwealth Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work Code of Practice 2024. Recordings are not used for performance management, and no automated decision is acted on without human review.

5. Retention and storage

6. Who can see it

Access is role-based. Only authorised supervisors and administrators with the hazards permission can review detections, and every export of an evidence record is itself recorded on the audit trail. Data is not sold or shared for marketing. Third-party processors (speech-to-text, the Aegis AI language-model provider, and secure storage) act only on our instructions.
